Applicants needed to be Singapore-incorporated and operating, with sufficient financial resources and at least 30% local citizen or permanent-resident ownership. Every proposal required an independent Zhejiang company as collaborator.
How does the support work?
Singapore participants could receive support of up to 70% of approved qualifying costs, subject to Enterprise Singapore's assessment. No fixed universal Singapore-dollar cap was published for the bilateral round.
What expenditure can qualify?
Qualifying expenditure could include internal project manpower, equipment and software, materials, consumables and approved professional services within the R&D project.
Key conditions
- At least one Singapore company and one independent Zhejiang company were required.
- Each partner had to contribute no more than 70% of the total project effort.
- The Singapore applicant needed to satisfy its local ownership and financial viability tests.
Timing and application process
The application window ran from 16 September to 9 October 2026. A further opportunity depends on Enterprise Singapore and its Zhejiang partners launching another round with new documentation and deadlines.
Important programme distinctions
This bilateral call differs from a general Singapore R&D grant. A local company's R&D could instead be assessed against EDGE Product Development or RIS(C) where appropriate.
