What does it support?

Qualifying proposals involved joint technological R&D towards commercialisable products or applications. The previous call welcomed work in areas such as life sciences, ICT, green and low-carbon technologies, new materials and advanced manufacturing.

Who can apply?

A Singapore applicant needed to be registered and operating locally, financially viable for the duration of the project and at least 30% locally owned by Singapore citizens or permanent residents. An independent Jiangsu company had to join the consortium.

How does the support work?

Enterprise Singapore could provide up to 70% of qualifying costs for the Singapore participant, subject to assessment and the bilateral call's conditions. The published record did not establish a single maximum grant quantum in Singapore dollars.

What expenditure can qualify?

Potential expenditure included eligible project manpower, equipment and software, materials and consumables, and approved professional services connected with the joint R&D.

Key conditions

  • At least one Singapore company and one independent Jiangsu company had to participate.
  • Each project partner was expected to contribute no more than 70% of the overall project effort.
  • The Singapore participant needed at least 30% local ownership and a viable collaborative development plan.

Timing and application process

The 2026 submission period ended on 12 October 2026. A new application would require a future bilateral call announcement and its current national funding instructions.

Important programme distinctions

This was a bilateral Singapore–Jiangsu funding call, not a rolling domestic R&D grant. The Zhejiang and other international co-innovation calls have their own consortium conditions and deadlines.
