What does the grant support?
The grant supports the purchase and installation of an approved stability control system (SCS) on an eligible new or existing lorry crane.
The system monitors crane operating parameters and can restrict crane movements when an unstable condition is detected, helping reduce the risk of overturning.
Who can apply?
The business must be registered and operating in Singapore and own the lorry crane for which support is sought.
Eligible cranes must meet the specified lifting-equipment classifications and be 17 years old or less from year of manufacture to the calendar year of application.
The SCS must be supplied by the crane manufacturer or an authorised agent for the relevant lorry-crane brand.
How much funding is available?
Support is reimbursement-based and covers up to 50% of qualifying costs.
The maximum support is:
- S$5,000 per lorry crane; and
- S$20,000 per business entity.
What costs can qualify?
Qualifying expenditure includes the purchase and installation of approved:
- SCS hardware;
- associated SCS software.
Administrative fees, repair or replacement costs, freight and shipping, maintenance and other excluded costs are not supported.
Key conditions
The applicant must obtain grant approval before purchasing the SCS.
The system must be installed through the appropriate authorised agent, used in Singapore and remain installed and functional in accordance with the programme conditions.
Only cranes owned by the applicant business entity qualify.
When should you apply?
The current programme runs until 31 March 2027, subject to fund utilisation and availability.
Businesses planning installations should therefore secure grant approval before placing an order or committing to the supported equipment.
Is the SCSG relevant to your project?
A strong fit is a Singapore business that owns an eligible lorry crane and plans to install an approved manufacturer-supported SCS before the programme closes.
A weak fit is a project where the equipment has already been purchased before grant approval, the crane falls outside the eligible classifications or age limit, or the solution is not approved for the crane brand.
How Reeve | R&D supports the grant
Reeve | R&D can manage the incentive workstream - eligibility assessment, equipment and cost review, funding modelling, application preparation, documentation and claim support - while the company remains the formal applicant where required by the programme.
