Hawkers’ Productivity Grant (HPG)

What does it support?

The closed phase supported productivity improvements in hawker operations through qualifying equipment and digital solutions.

Who can apply?

Applicants needed an eligible hawker stall with a valid tenancy agreement with NEA or its appointed operator, together with the required tenancy and grant conditions.

How does the support work?

The phase supported up to 80% of qualifying equipment unit cost excluding GST, with a maximum of S$7,000 per eligible stallholder.

What expenditure can qualify?

The grant applied to automation equipment and digital solutions approved under the HPG rules for that phase.

Key conditions

Application had to precede purchase. The stallholder also needed sufficient remaining tenancy and equipment or solutions meeting the programme requirements.

Timing and application process

The last published phase closed on 31 March 2026. Its application route is closed; any future phase needs a fresh NEA announcement before a grant-dependent purchase.

Important programme distinctions

The historical rate and ceiling are retained to explain the closed phase. They should not be treated as confirmed support for a new purchase.
