What does it support?
BEAMP helps innovators develop prototypes, validate solutions through test-beds and project pilots, undertake small commercial trials and prepare promising solutions for wider market adoption. Activities respond to challenges identified by built-environment stakeholders.
Who can apply?
The programme targets Singapore-registered and operating startups and SMEs with at least 30% local shareholding and sufficient financial capacity to undertake the proposed project. Successful proposals are tied to the published challenges and cycle-specific requirements.
How does the support work?
For the last recorded programme terms, funding could cover up to 50% of qualifying costs, or up to 70% for qualifying sustainability projects. The published maximums were S$50,000 for Accelerate Solution Development and S$250,000 each for Market Development and small-scale commercial trials, subject to the approved track.
What expenditure can qualify?
Eligible project costs related to approved prototype work, technical development, test-bedding, pilots and commercial trials. The award and challenge terms determined which costs qualified.
Key conditions
- Participate in a published BEAMP challenge cycle and meet its selection rules.
- Demonstrate a practical solution to an identified built-environment problem.
- Agree the development or validation work with the relevant challenge owner or project partner.
- Observe the applicable funding and claim requirements before starting an eligible project.
Timing and application process
Cycle 6 applications closed on 31 October 2025 at 23:59 Singapore time. A subsequent application requires a new BEAMP cycle announcement and updated challenge statements.
Important programme distinctions
A closed cycle is not a permanent programme closure. BEAMP is challenge-led, whereas EDGE Product Development supports qualifying company-led innovation projects under its own criteria.
