What does it support?

The scheme covers approved aircraft and engine leasing, together with related financing activities carried out by a qualifying Singapore leasing entity.

Who can apply?

The leasing company must be registered and operating in Singapore and meet the applicable requirements for business substance, skilled employment and expenditure.

How does the support work?

Qualifying leasing income can receive an 8% or 10% corporate tax rate. Related provisions and withholding-tax relief depend on the award. The benefit is linked to approved income, with no fixed monetary cap.

What expenditure can qualify?

The award changes the tax treatment of qualifying income. Aircraft purchases and other business costs are not reimbursed through an eligible-cost grant.

Key conditions

The qualifying period is five years. For a first award at 8%, published benchmarks include five additional skilled employees and S$15 million of total business spending by Year 5. Other award categories have their own commitments.

Timing and application process

Ask EDB to confirm the appropriate award criteria and application forms before submitting a formal proposal for the Singapore leasing operation.

Important programme distinctions

ALS covers leasing income. Management and advisory income should be assessed separately under the Aircraft Investment Manager incentive.
